Horologium, the Pendulum Clock, is a faint southern constellation created by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille. Representing a pendulum clock of the type invented by Christiaan Huygens, it lies in a sparse region of the sky east of the bright star Achernar. Though dim, Horologium contains several interesting deep-sky objects.
