📜 Mythologie

Sagittarius is typically depicted as a centaur drawing a bow, but unlike the wild centaurs of Greek mythology, this archer is usually identified as Chiron - the wise and gentle centaur who tutored many Greek heroes including Achilles, Jason, and Hercules. Chiron was renowned for his knowledge of medicine, music, and prophecy. Some sources identify the archer as Crotus, the satyr who invented archery.
